Serbian Gay Pride March

Shocked, sickened and depressed by the behaviour of anti-gay protestors in Serbia. Hundreds of them targeted the country’s second Gay Pride March baying for the death penalty for homosexuals. What the hell is wrong with these people? The world seems to be going backwards rather than forwards in terms of tolerance. It makes me want to weep with anger and frustration. I stand in admiration of the men and women brave enough to demand to be counted in a country that still has medieval attitudes to gay people. I hope with all my heart that their courage will help bring about acceptance.
